CS/Syrthes in Ubuntu 20 vs Ubuntu 22
Hello, I have CS 8.0 and Syrthes 5.0 running coupling problems in Ubuntu 22, without issue. I need to set up a second system, which is Ubuntu 20. After reinstalling a couple of times, following the steps that worked on my Ubuntu 22 system, I still get an error. CS gui runs fine. Syrthes gui runs fin...

Re: Coupling, very slow temperature convergence
Great, thank you. I will try that.
From your comments, it sounds like the total steps and step size need to be the same only for transient problems.
Much appreciated.

Coupling, very slow temperature convergence
Hello, I have a CS 8.03 / Syrthes 5.0 coupled thermal problem. The coupled solution is very slow. -About 300k cells -The solid problem solves in ~10 seconds in Syrthes, 1 core -The fluid problem solves in ~60 seconds in CS, 1 core -The coupled problem, CS - Syrthes will not stabilize, after even 3+ ...

Re: Closed loop flow, pressure point constraint and convergence
After looking further at different types of mesh, it looks like with improved mesh quality I can get it to not diverge. It oscillates after residuals drop about 1.5 decades.. Perhaps pinning a point at a fixed reference pressure will allow further stability and convergence(?).

Closed loop flow, pressure point constraint and convergence
Hello, I am using CS 8.03 in Ubuntu 22. I am modeling MHD driven flow in a closed loop. This loop has a small region where the MHD pumping effects are simulated by using a momentum term. In the image, the red region is the pump region, and the blue is the rest of the loop pipe. https://en.wikipedia....

Re: New Install: No "mesh_input.csm" file or directory found.
That was probably the issue.
I reinstalled completely. I ran through the tutorial again, and it did solve.
Thanks

Hello, I am very interested in Code_Saturne/Syrthes, and have used OpenFoam in the past... Ubuntu 22, Code_Saturne 8.03 Syrthes tutorials and my own Syrthes cases work without issue. When running the Code_Saturne tutorials, after starting the solver from the Gui, I get the following in the run_solve...
